Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Jones Town Q#1 is located on the east road of the City of Brewerville in the county of Montserrado. This community of approximately 5,000 people mostly women and children, was established in the late 1930's by the Dei tribe. This community has three churches, three primary schools and secondary schools, some students travel to the city of Monrovia to obtain a higher education. The lack of safe drinking water has been a challenge for this community, with only open hand dug wells as their only source of water, as a result many have suffered with water borne diseases. This new well will provide safe drinking water and reduce sickness and disease for the community. On February 25, 2020 a health & hygiene workshop was conducted with 24 participants involved. The community resolved by consensus that the handpump is critical to their hygiene and well-being and pledged to take good care of it for the generation to come.
