April 24,17 Health & Hygiene Workshop was held for the people at Frog Island and 32 people attended. Frog Island of Yarsiah Community is located in the city of Bong Mines, along the train tracks, right after Bassa Town. This community was established by Mr. John B. Yarsiah in the 1980's when he was employed at the Bong Mines Company. The children have suffered from typhoid, stomach problems and other sicknesses from drinking unsafe water. The only source of water they had was from hand dug wells that were not covered and protected properly throughout the years. This new well will serve the families within this large community. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
