A message from the community

The community of Loelay Zone would wish to express our gratitude to Lifewater Canada and Service to Servants for taking care of our broken hand pumps and restoring the flow of clean water in our community. May God bless you all. ---Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

When the three wells serving the community of Loelay Zone in Liberia's Nimba county stopped working, the residents were forced to drink and wash from dirty sources of water such as shallow wells. Drinking from a dirty source of water put them at the risk of catching waterborne diseases while washing from such sources exposed their skins to diseases. However, Lifewater Canada and Service to Servants worked together to fix the broken hand pumps, including this one, and restore the flow of clean water in Loelay Zone community
