A message from the community

The people of Pelelowah Community are deeply thankful to Lifewater Canada for the repair of our hand pump. We are happy to have clean water for use at home. May God bless you. -- Community Leaders

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

The people of Pelelowah Community did not have safe water for drinking and other domestic uses for more than a year after the hand pump on their local well stopped functioning. Children and adults would get water from the nearest creeks and rivers while risking their health and that of their loved ones because these sources are contaminated. Recently, Lifewater Canada donors funded repairs to the hand pump. The grateful community is happy to have a safe source of water again.
