Project Detail Summary |
|||||||||
| Although working in Liberia in the rainy season can be difficult, it did prove to be an excellent time to correct drainage problems in the Equipment Yard. It was common to have 6-8 inches of rain fall each day in very short periods. To prevent rain water from collecting at the building and flowing through the yard, ditches were constructed in strategic locations to move the water off site. The yard was leveled to promote drainage. This work also allowed the yard to dry more quickly after the rain fall. The yard is now prepared for the future work of putting a gravel layer over the entire equipment yard to reduce the amount of mud. |
