 Project Detail Summary

The roof was just one of the many victories experienced in the compound construction. Working with wood that was extremely heavy and non to straight or dry made for some challenging and complex problem solving. After much consultation with local carpenters and friends from Canada we decided to bolt the roof struts together to ensure their stability and strength. The end result was a structure strong enough to be free standing, needing no inner support poles.

Although we were working in the dry season we had some very hard tropical rains after the zinc was just put on, which allowed us to check for any leaks and we were very pleased that everything stayed perfectly dry.

We want to thank you for the extra insulation we were able to put in the ceiling. The temperature inside the rooms was noticably cooler than outside thanks to this addition, and it'll be much quieter in the rainy season because of it. We had to explain to the locals that the extra scraps of insulation would NOT make good pillows!

Thanks for making all this possilble through your generous donations.

   Dear Sir:

The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Lifewater Liberia Inc. (L-Linc.) wish to extend our profound thanks and appreciation to the Board of Lifewater Canada (L-Can) and the many donors who continue to save lives in Liberia through the provision of safe drinking water to our villages. Please coninue to remind our donors that the need is greater than before.

We especially extend our thanks and appreciation to the donor who gave genreously for the roof and ceiling in our new multi-purpose building. The design is a great innovation which is very new in Liberia. Tell the donor that we are praying for him and others to continue to assist Liberia and Liberians.

Again, please accept our thanks and appreciation and pray that God will continue to move others to assist us.

Yours in Christ
