 Project Detail Summary

Rotary Assemblies include the engine, transmission, swivel & quill for a mud rotary drill rig. This donaiton was for new rotary assemblies for the Liberian Team's LS-100 Diesel rig and also for their LS-100 gas rig. These rig's have drilled more than 100 wells. The rotaries were previously re-built in Liberia but are now so badly worn that they needed replacing. Special thanks to the Mennonites for shipping the rotary assemblies to Liberia.

   Dear Donors,

We write to greet you and to thank-you for the wonderful thing you have done for us by way of providing what we have so badly needed. Both our drill rigs have worked hard for a long time but are now old and worn-down. As a result, we spend much time sitting while the drill machines are being fixed and repaired and this wait sometimes causes our unfinished boreholes to collapse causing much distress in the village. However, the frame, mast, hoses, pumps and all other parts were still very fine and can be used for much time to come. Oh, were we every so happy when the new rotaries arrived. It took less than one hour for us to unpack them and switch them onto the rigs and, amazing to us, we now had two machines again that were good like they were before when they were new!

Once again, please receive our thanks and may God bless you and all you care for.
