Periodically, skilled professionals from North America travel overseas to train local workers. Volunteer trainers use their vacation time and pay the cost of their training trip.

Training includes classroom training and theory on a variety of topics such as: Hydrogeology, Business Planning, Disease Transmission and Equipment Maintenance.

Much time is spent one-on-one providing practical, hands-on experience in the field. This includes training on:

• Handpump repair
• Drill training (such as learning when to stop drilling, how to handle unexpected problems, drill bit selection, how to properly manage drilling fluid, well development etc)
• Water quality testing
• Caretaker and Pump Repair Technician training
• Community Health & Hygiene
