The people of Soro Village, Nigeria thank
Dr. Roger Mitchell & Valerie Dennison (Thunder Bay, ON)

For helping them replace their worn-out pump and repair their well

A message from the community

Dear Sir, Soho Community Appreciation. On behalf of the people of Soho village, we wish to thank you for the repair you did on our well a few days ago. The work you did for the school in Tsamiya Gada was commendable and we thank all of you for coming to help with the repairs of one of our wells that was broken. Now we will not have to walk so long to the other part of the village to get water from their well. God bless you sir, Abdullahi Muhammed Soho, Karasuwa Local Government Yobe

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

This was a rehab of a handpump that needed the cylinders and all the risers replaced. We removed the entire mechanism and replaced it with a new set of hardware. Now the village has a renewed safe drinking water supply.
