A message from the community

Dear Lifewater & Sponsor,

We are so very grateful to Almighty God for sending you to us to have good water in our community. We are very happy for the help that you gave us.  May the Lord God bless you and your people in time to come.

Thank you,

Sam Yassich, Community Member

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

On May 11,2018 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted with 22 participants.

This community of 433 families have faced a serious lack of safe drinking water for many years. Drinking water from dilapidated hand dug wells has caused serious health issues for this community.  This new well provides safe clean water for many years to come.

This Dark Forest Community 6 is believed to be a slump area and is located at the upper side of Dark Forest Community 5. The community is large and with a population of 2140 inhabitants. The Community has the same landscape and mark that has a largely swampy area. It is also part of main Dark Forest Town. The land area in the front of Community 5. It has the same problem like their neighbor communities. The criminal rate in that community is very high because they reside there in the slumps and they at times leave from there and terrorize other communities nearby.

Their source of water supply are all open hand dug wells and nearby streams flowing through the swamp during the rains. It is by the Community's location they are(women and children) threaten and most times contract diseases from those sources. There is non- existence lavatories/latrines facility thus causing their very land to be polluted with feces contaminating their wells . This causes a lot of sicknesses and people die because they have not been taught about the basic hygiene methods that give long life.

Thank God for The Health and Hygiene Team who conducted a workshop there and help the community to learned a new way of life and caring for their home and community. . After the Workshop the participants were happy for what they learn and began to thank the Lifewater Family for showing them how to sustain that precious water gift that God had given them

Evangelistic Report

Every portion of water is useful for individual consumption as God sees it before creation.

The members of Dark Forest Community 5 have been faced with a serious lack of safe drinking water because of the dilapidated hand dug wells for a good number of years. This has caused an unhealthy condition for them, especially, the women and children.

The population is about 433 families/family heads that have living under such condition. The Lifewater L-Linc along with their Field Team in collaboration with the Community Leadership prayerfully acknowledges God for a positive response by providing safe drinking water.

The community, through their cooperation with the L-Linc Evangelism Team also worked with some local churches to share the Good News of Jesus Christ Salvation with the locals in the community. At a mass gathering The Gospel message came from the book of II Kings 2:19-22. Through this scripture they were made to understand that God is able to change bad situation into good. This message drew the attention of those who did not believe in Christ Jesus, to accept Him as their personal Savior and give their lives to Jesus 4(four) persons surrounded their life to Jesus. Their testimonies were; we had never been a part of any church group so with this massage we are going to find a church to attend said one of the sisters. And they were thankful to God for Lifewater L-Linc drilling team and Evangelism Team for their work to bring the Gospel of Christ and Safe Drinking water to Dark Forest Community.
