Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

Kpaney Town-Community Quarter #2 is located in district 3 and is the provincial capital of Grand Bassa County. Approximately 860 people, of whom are women and children, live in this community. They had to fetch water from open hand dug wells, a source that exposed them to sicknesses such as malaria, diarrhea running stomach, skin diseases etc. These open hand dug wells breed mosquitoes and other insects and bacteria that are very harmful. On April 11,2018 the Health and Hygiene Workshop was conducted having 30 people participating. This workshop included good health and hygiene practices and instructions of how to keep the area around the well clean. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
