Some community details (provided by our in-country partners) |

This populated community is located along the Marshall highway after Floko Town in the lower Margibi County. The community is very large when you count all the men, women and children too. While the town is large, the people are not living large. Most houses are made from mud, sticks and leaves. This community has a newly established church and school called "Green Pastures Word Outreach International" and some students travel long distances to attend this school. The town is very flat, sandy and dry. The only source of water is nearby creeks and swamps, which are not safe for drinking. Digging for water is not good because the fine sand keeps collapsing and filling the hole being dug. The people who attended the Health & Hygiene workshop received information and instruction to pass on to others. Before the H&H team came, the people did not know how to control pupu, dirt, how to handle food. But now they sit better since knowledge has empowered them! With this new well and Afridev pump sponsored by overseas friends, and new information acquired about good health, the people will have a better chance of living a long and healthier life. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
