Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

This community is located within Dolo Town, lower Margibi county in Firestone District. it is located between Keterpu and the swamp side of Dolo Town.

This populated community of fishermen and coal burners are hard strugglers. Compared to other areas, many of them are retired from working for Firestone and have been cast off with the coal burners.

These dwellers have struggled a long time with the lack of safe drinking water. The only source of water they could access were hand dug wells, creeks and swamps, and the consumption of this water resulted in many water borne diseases. Community dwellers have been developing so many diseases like skin rash, running stomach, Typhoid and so on. Things have been like this for so many years.

The community people have access to good schools, market ground, and clinic. But the dwellers are not educated to good hygenic practices. Therefore, some of the areas are not well taken care of.

On Feb 23, 2018 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was conducted with 28 participants. With the help of God and the Lifewater Hygiene Teachers, the people learned how to clean their surroundings. Most importantly, was learning the washing of hands, very specially needed. They appreciated this a lot!

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
