A message from the community

Dear Sir,

Greetings and best wishes to you from the people of our community in Jesus Name whose vineyard we are laborers in.

We hope this letter reaches you in a state of good health.

We want to express our appreciation and thanks for providing us safe drinking water for all to access. We will forever remember you as long as we drink from this pump for "water is life"

Thank you

Helena R Matady

General Secretary

Some community details (provided by our in-country partners)

Wolov village is within Totota, Salala Dirstict, Lower Bong county. It is about 30 minutes walk from the main highway leading to Gbarnga, Bong County. The road leads from the Lutheran compound in Totota.

The inhabitants are mainly women and children.

Their source of drinking water is a creek that runs down a hill not too far from the Village. This creek gets very dirty when it rains with erosion water from all sorts of place. This creek- water has caused more problem and sickness for the people of Wolov village especially the school going children; when school opens the childern spent more time getting water from the creek than going for class very late.

The people of Wolov Village have asked some many organizations and government to solve this old age water problem for them but no one have ever come to their aid.

On Sept 19, 2017 a Health & Hygiene Workshop was held with 27 village members participating. Then a well was drilled.

Thank God for Lifewater and its partners for taking time to visit the village by solving their water problem.

This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
