Dear Sponsor, On behalf of our community, we want to thank you for the hygiene workshop and for the support you have shown us with the instillation of our new handpump. Your generous donation and contribution encourages us and will help us develop with success in our future endeavors. Without your involvement and generosity, we would not be able to aim high and reach the level we can now that we have safe and plentiful water to drink. We are able to care for our members in a better way and know how to prevent communicable diseases through hand washing etc. We thank you for your kindness in giving us this new well. Respectfully yours Comfort David. |

Short Story about Upper Capitol Hill and Toto community. These two communities are located in Totota, Salala District in Bong County, Liberia. The two communities are adjacent to each other along the Monrovia Gbarnga high way. Both communities have a huge population with children been the dominant. The communities are also built on a hill which has caused lot of water problem for the them. Their source of drinking water is from some hand dug wells that are not safe for drinking. These hand dug wells are not deep so they are all polluted with diseases from domestic animals. As the result of this, the children in the two communities suffer from running stomach, skin rashes, typhoid etc. With the timely workshop and drilled hand pump done by Lifewater in these two communities, it has brought relief to the people of the two communities. This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support! |
