A message from the community |

Dear Sir, Madame, On behalf of our community members, we want to thank you so much for your kind support in bringing and constructing a hand pump that will provide safe drinking water to all our community. Your gift has already been used in our village and saving our health as we no longer need antiobiotics to treat cholera and typhoid that we were getting from our old water source. Because of your support it is making it possible to live our lives happier and to be healthier and more fruitful. Thank you for your compassionate support. We hope to always meet up with your expectations in caring for our new well. With warmest regards Robert B. Bulu Town Chief. |

Short Story about Upper Capitol Hill and Toto community. These two communities are located in Totota, Salala District in Bong County, Liberia. The two communities are adjacent to each other along the Monrovia Gbarnga high way. Both communities have a huge population with children been the dominant.
The communities are also located closer to a swamp (wetland) that separates them from the main town (Totota). The communities are also built on a hill which has caused lot of water problem for the them.
Their source of drinking water is from some hand dug wells that are not safe for drinking. These hand dug wells are not deep so they are all polluted with diseases from domestic animals. As the result of this, the children in the two communities suffer from running stomach, skin rashes, typhoid etc.
With the timely workshop and drilled hand pump done by Lifewater in these two communities, it has brought relief to the people of the two communities.
This well was drilled as part of a cooperative NGO initiative to provide safe drinking water to all Liberian's. Thanks to ''The Last Well Inc.'' for their coordination and support!
