We really want to say a big thank you to Lifewater and Stada Kenya for taking care of our water needs through the repair of our broken hand pump. Our clean water is now accessible and we are all happy.

The people of Soi Kamollo community are keen on harvesting rainwater but that only goes as far as the rains last. However, the villagers would get water from the village well, except when the hand pump is broken then, they have to risk drinking from unsafe sources such as rivers. This is the situation the villagers found themselves in for the two weeks the hand pump on the village well failed work.

Thanks to Lifewater Canada donors, the hand pump repair team were able to visit the village and fix the broken hand pump, giving the residents another chance to access clean and safe water.
