St. Josephy Elimu Academy in Kisumu County has about  two hundred students. Most of them and their families were forced to walk for several kilometers in search of clean water each day, or to drink from unsafe sources, such as ponds and rivers that led them to catch diseases like cholera. Recently, thanks to our donors, Lifewater funded the  drilling of a new well. Now, everyone at the school and in the surrounding community has convenient and consistent access to safe water, and therefore much less health risk.
