It was common for students from Rongo Primary School in Kisumu county to leave classrooms in search of drinking water. Unfortunately, there was no nearby source of clean water, and so they to walk for longer to reach a water source. 

Fortunately, Lifewater Canada funded the construction of a new well in Rongo Primary School and installed a new hand pump. Clean and safe water is readily available and just steps away from the classrooms. Every student at the school is grateful to have easy access to clean and safe drinking water.
