Residents of Kogendo village in Kisumu county had the options of collecting water from dams and rivers, but that was all that was as a far as access to water is concerned. The villagers did not have the option of collecting clean water as the  sources were either too far from them or too expensive.

Thankfully, Lifewater Canada and Stada Kenya drilled a new well in Kogendo village and installed a new hand pump, thus making clean and safe drinking and washing water easily accessible to everyone in the village.
